Homedex is a calm, visual home for the photos, videos, documents and downloads scattered across your computer. Instead of digging through folders, you see everything on six automatic shelves with big previews, and you search the way you'd ask a friend: “pdfs from last week over 5 mb” or “screenshots with wifi password”. Homedex reads the text inside screenshots and scanned PDFs, remembers which website each download came from, finds duplicate files by their contents, and suggests safe clean-ups for old installers and forgotten downloads. Nothing is ever deleted permanently: files go to the Recycle Bin. Everything runs on your computer with no cloud, it works offline, and it's a one-time purchase with no subscription.
